Lite-On Slim External DVD Writer
Lite-On proudly announces a new generation of external slim DVD writers. The Lite-On ESAU208-86 Slim External DVD Writer is a full featured, USB-powered, 8X slim DVD writer. It’s ideal for anyone seeking a compact, stylish and portable DVD writer. Mobility is an important aspect of the eSAU208. The drive can be powered through a USB connection instead of a traditional power adapter, so the mobile doesn’t have to rely on a power socket to operate the Lite-On ESAU208-86 Slim External DVD Writer. The drive will harvest its power directly from the notebook through a convenient USB cable.

what the diff. other than the weight the lower cpu, and no dvd, beside the cpus in netbooks are plenty good, unless you buy a gameing laptop even if you have the top cpu you still need a gpu, so why pay $500+ when you can get something equivilent for $300

I read somewhere that each time I shut down my computer, I need to execute a “Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device” command for my external CD/DVD slim-profile burner(s). This, it is alleged, will prevent damage from abrupt on/off. Can someone comment? Is this true? Thanks.

Don’t pay attention to the useless comments from horny guys, Sam. I bought a LiteOn ESAU208 after watching this video, and I haven’t regretted it for one moment. As a woman, I will be the first to admit that Sam and Kim Komando are very beautiful, but they aren’t just cream puffs – they know their technology.

@gbwisconsin well i guess its true….cos there’s a sign or symbol that is shown to tell you when its safe to remove. i’m aware of it cos once, i tried removing it and shutting down before the safe symbol came out and my brother freaked like it was gonna explode or something.he said it was gonna damage the external drive
