Internal DVD Burners

is their any free software for recording youtube videos onto DVD-R discs?

also, would it be possible to record them with my tvs dvd recorder without buying a computer dvd burner

I’ve went through 43 DVD-Rs trying to copy a DVD (tv show a friend put on DVD for me, I want to make a backup) I’ve spent $50 on RWs and nothing works. I’m starting to think I don’t have DVD burner. I used Nero Burning Rom 6, and it said “successfully burned” however when I put it in the DVD Player, nothing as well as reinserting it into a computer. Shows disc as empty.

Basically my question is — How can I figure out if my laptop comes with a DVD Burner? If I do not have one, where/how can I get one and how much do they cost?

If this helps any, I have an Asus A3H model (60GB HD), and on the side where you insert discs, it shows a “DVD” icon, beside that says “Multi Recorder” and beside that I believe (faded a bit) says “DVD -/+ RW”. I’ve read in the manual and it says nothing about a burner. I know I have a CD Burner as I have used CD-R/Ws to burn a bunch of things before and works like a charm.
Thanks for the answers to those who did help. The disc I tried burning, I took it out for a while and reinserted it into my computer and it worked. Same with my DVD Player. The quality isn’t fabulous but it’ll do.

How do i copy a DVD from my sony dvd burner on my tv???

I just bought a sony dvd burner for my tv.. Is there a way to get around the copyright crap so i can copy dvds??
