How can I make a backup of my DVD movies?
I have a new PC tower with a 16X Double Layer DVD burner. Windows XP Pro. Want to make burnt DVD‘s of my movies for a backup, that will play in any regular TV DVD player. Thanks!

I’d probably go to download.com and get a free DVD ripper. Although most ones will have limitations, it’s not that bad but unless you want to pay, you don’t have many other choices. By the way, is this to make backups, or “backups”

Where can I get a cheap computer with a DVD burner?
I’d like it to have Windows XP, and a DVD burner. I just need the tower & everythign that goes in it… no monitor or keybnaord.

I would try UBID.com. They have all what you need. Or you can try ebay. Even though I dont like to buy stuff like this on ebay.

I tried changing this harddrive in my tower, and changed it back, now since i did that, my 2 dvd burners isnt.
showing up,(isnt registering) and i was gonna try a system restore, but damn, it was turned off, it was workin just fine earlier, well still good, but i have no cd-rom drives showin. help

Well, if you removed any of the IDE cables to the HD or DVD drives that could be the problem. If your DVD drives are pinned for Master and Slave, and you put them in the wrong order on the cable, they wont work. Make sure you master drive is on the last port on the cable, while you slave is on the first port. Some cables are labeled master and slave. Just one thing to look for. Hope this helps.
